Challenge / Success: The challenges of this project were immense. The building itself is federal however, the walls out are under the jurisdiction of the University of Texas.
After a lengthy negotiation on the scope of work with the GC we finally came to an agreement and were ready to begin the project in the late summer of 2018. However, the delay pushed the project into the beginning of football season and the area around
the Library was committed to tailgating for the Longhorn homes games.
After the final home game in late November, we set the crane, delivered materials and mobilized to begin the project only to be met with a Government shutdown!
After working through the shutdown, we encountered many other challenges.
