Challenge / Success: This was by far the most challenging project my company has ever taken on. It was a Bonded, U.S. Army Corps of Engineer job with strict compliance to safety regulations and every other regulation that the term “Red Tape” can convey!
The scope of work was a complete tear-off and installation of new insulation and a fully adhered 80 Mill TPO system along with very intricate and demanding stainless-steel copings and flashings. We had to completely demo a mansard wall to access the roofing
underneath and then re-build the wall again. We also encountered electrical lines that had been installed too close the underside of the deck which required us to locate these and fully adhere to the insulation in those areas when it was mechanically attached elsewhere. Furthermore, the length of time involved in the vetting process to even get our workers on site was arduous and costly. When all was said and done, however, Ja-Mar put on a roof that even the government can be proud of.
